I’ve been learning to oil paint. This is a back portrait of my daughter…the paint’s still wet! I learned a lot doing this painting, especially with regards to the technical side of oils, which I didn’t realize was so important when it comes to things like adhering correctly to the canvas. Will the painting slide off if I didn’t do it right? Anyway, I’m happy with this one enough to get it actually framed. You can see the progress of the work where I took a picture of every stage.
